A pleasure to see these images, thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat rare images - could this possibly mean that we'll see more of Allen's photographs published? I have the Twelvetrees Press "Photographs" book and the recent "Beat Memories" exhibit book - of which most of the photos in "Memories" were already shown in the "Photographs" book. Let's get more of Allen's photographs published!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photographs! These really capture not just an era, but a life lived on an extraordinary scale.

ReplyDeleteAllen was in Prague in 1965, not 1961. Twice. 2/18- 3/19/1965 (from Cuba, to Moscow) and 4/29-5/07 (from Moscow via Poland, to London).

This picture I took with Allen's camera. Allen took other photos with me and my friends. All of them are in his estate. I have their copies.
