Corso: The Last Beat (Film)

This film has been in the works since the mid '90s when a film crew seemed to be following Corso just about every where he went. In the later 90s, director Gus Reiniger took Corso on a whirlwind tour of Europe, stopping off at, among other places, Shelley's grave in Rome and the Oracle at Delphi. Back in the States, director Reiniger was able to actually locate Corso's mother, whom all assumed had vanished to Italy, & this reuniting for the first time in over 50 years is caught on film.

Last week it premiered at the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily and won it's "Best Film" award. We're all anxious to see this film, but US dates have yet to be announced.

2012 update - Three years on (from this post) and the film still hasn't been distributed (and may never be? serious legal/copyright issues we hear - but those are just rumors, nothing substantial, we'll let you know more details if and when we hear of them, meanwhile, for your Corso-on-film fix, perhaps, check here

  1. I like the sound of this film, especially that bit with the real life reunion. Will sure be looking out for this when it hits our shores.

  2. Will this ever be released?

  3. Still no way of seeing this Documentary? How sad and ridiculous
